Pizzaiolo Saint Julien

On Friday, June 12, 2026, I contacted the food truck in Beire-le-Châtel to place an order. When I specified my preferred pickup time (between 7:00 and 7:30 PM, during the village school fair), the man on the phone immediately changed his tone. He criticized me for not planning ahead, as the time slot was full, before reluctantly accepting my order. Several other people called and received the same treatment; some even chose to cancel. Being treated like this completely puts me off ordering from them, especially on a festive evening when they've probably made their biggest profit of the year! 😡 A minimum of business acumen and customer service would be appreciated. Clearly, there are some fundamentals that need addressing!

We've ordered pizzas several times; they're very good, generously topped, and high quality. However, the prices are slightly high.

Hello pizza lovers! We've been going to "Le Pizzaiolo" in Saint Julien for several years now. We're VERY satisfied: thin crust, delicious toppings, a wide variety of pizzas, reasonable prices, a wood-fired oven... and they're always on time! It's easy to criticize when things aren't going well, but it's better to say so when the service is good. The loyalty cards are a real bonus for customers. A great LOCAL establishment, worth keeping and spreading the word about. Having pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven is much better than an impersonal, mass-produced chain. Enjoy!

Very disappointed. We come very often, yet it's always the same thing. We feel like we're bothering them every time, and on top of that, they sigh regularly as if they just want to finish as quickly as possible. In the long run, it's frankly unbearable.

Second attempt and the same result as the first... disappointed!! I ordered for 6:30 pm from the truck parked in Poncey-lès-Athée. I arrived at 6:30 pm and found the pizza maker busy with his phone and about ten boxes of pizzas on the counter, mine among them! If I order for a specific time, it's to get a hot pizza straight from the oven, even if it means waiting a bit, and not a cold pizza as dry as a pancake, for €14... And let's not even talk about the guy's friendliness. I've worked in the pizza industry, and quality is not what he offers. It's a very small village, and it just so happens that a pizza delivery service has opened. If their pizzas are better, it's going to hurt him, what a shame. In any case, for me, it's the last time! Go and make up your own mind, mine is made up!

I ordered five pizzas for 6 PM and arrived 40 minutes late... It's true, I didn't let them know, because I'd previously ordered for 6:30 PM by calling at 5:30 PM and they told me, "We'll make them right away, and you can come later, no problem." (Perhaps it was the previous owners). So I apologized for the delay. The woman was very unhappy and let me know it, but well, I understand her annoyance. The pizza maker kindly offered to remake the five pizzas (I would have understood if he'd said no), and I offered to pay right away, in cash. And the woman said to me, "I hope not all the customers do that tonight." Madam, if the problem was the delay, I had already apologized. If the problem was the cash, I still placed a €70 order with you. I would have paid by card if you had asked. Your pizzas are good, and again I apologize for being late, but this isn't the way to treat customers. I've been coming from St. Apo for years to get pizzas from you, and this doesn't exactly make me want to come back... For your information, customers: please call if you're going to be late.

Excellent service, friendly pizza chefs, and generously topped pizzas. Very cool!

Excellent pizzeria! The pizzas are delicious, generously topped, and always ready on time. We've ordered several times in recent weeks and have always been very satisfied with both the quality and the service. One small surprise, however: we only discovered the existence of a loyalty card afterward, even though we bought nine pizzas in two weeks without being offered one. It's a shame, as we would have loved to use it on our next orders. That won't stop us from happily returning 😊 See you soon!
