I ate on the terrace last night. The welcome was warm, and the waiters were friendly and helpful. I started with an aperitif, which was very good. The starter was also excellent; everything went well together. The ribeye steak with fries and maître d'hôtel butter was less to my liking. I had ordered it rare, and it arrived pink/gray, but it still tasted good (I wasn't picky and ate it all). The fries were rather dry… it's a shame they weren't homemade. So, a bit pricey at €39 for that dish. For dessert, I had the lemon-mint tart with blackcurrant fruit paste; it was delicious and original. The service was quick and efficient.

We've been to Dijon for two Saturdays now, and we were so delighted with our experience that we returned. The daily menu is truly exceptional. Discovering unexpected combinations, and they work! Octopus and strawberries with raspberry and yuzu vinaigrette—an incredible experience. The food is delicious and elegantly presented. Thank you to the chef, and thank you to the servers who know their craft. We will definitely be back!

We dined at this restaurant during our stay in Dijon, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing, so much so that it ruined the atmosphere of the evening and our stay in the city. Before sitting down, we specifically asked if it was possible to have a classic beef steak with fries (steak and fries / bœuf-frites), and we were confirmed to have it available. Once we reached the table, however, we were informed that the beef was out of stock. Being lactose intolerant, I therefore asked if it was possible to have a simple grilled chicken breast, an option on the menu and also suitable for children, accompanied by fries and salad, also available as sides. The woman serving us readily confirmed this, but then showed up at the table with a completely different dish: two chicken meatballs entirely covered in a milk cream. We immediately reported the error, but were specifically told that the dish could not be returned. Only after reiterating my lactose intolerance were we finally granted the option to order the dish we'd originally requested. The chicken breast arrived, but without the requested side dishes and, more importantly, was completely inedible in our opinion: in addition to being virtually devoid of any seasoning (even salt and oil were missing), the chicken had an unpleasant, foul-smelling odor and seemed undercooked. We had to call the waitress again to at least get some salt. The situation worsened further when it came to the bill, when we realized that the dish we'd mistakenly sent back had been included on the receipt. We had to explain the incident again and, after several discussions, we still ended up paying a bill that we felt was completely disproportionate to what we actually ate and the quality of the service we received. I'm sorry to have to leave such a negative review, but this experience was truly very unpleasant. We were expecting a quiet dinner in the historic center of Dijon and, unfortunately, this evening ended up ruining a significant part of our stay.

Extraordinary food and service. The tarbot was amazing with the 2023 Chablis, but the excellent service was the most memorable impression by far. The view near the palace made this experience absolutely excellent!

Professional service and friendly staff. The restaurant has very nice atmosphere. They even have a private room suitable for celebrations. A bit expensive but to be expected considering the location.

Non-existent service! Monday, July 20th, seated on the terrace at 7:15 PM, waited 20 minutes without anyone bringing us a menu, and the terrace was far from full and the staff was far from overwhelmed. We left at 7:35 PM to eat elsewhere. They need to review their staffing.

We visited here on a Sunday evening after travelling. Our aim was to experience some traditional fine French cuisine. Having worked in the restaurant business for some years, I am happy to share with you my findings. First Impressions:- We pre-booked our table and on arrival we were asked whether our preference was to sit inside or outside. We were escorted to our chosen area by a polite waitress who spoke good English. (For reference we are from England). I noticed how clean the restaurant was. It was well laid out and spacious. The bar area was well stocked and clean. The table was laid correctly with the cutlery polished and the glassware clean. Service:- The service was very professional and attentive. The attitude from all of the waiting staff was very relaxed and easy. All plates were cleared efficiently and all our needs were catered for. Food:- On being seated were served a cheese roll each. When we tasted these we knew that we were about to engage in a food sensory adventure. The cheese bread was as light as a cloud with the cheese flavor hitting the tongue like a gust of warm air, comforting and pleasant. We had ordered the pork chuck, sea bream and the chicken supreme. All dishes were presented beautifully and served at the correct temperature. Our food journey was at its peak. All boxes were ticked; sight, smell, taste. We ordered desserts of strawberry medley and rice puddings. These again ticked all the correct boxes all prepared, presented and tasted beautiful. This was true French cuisine and fine dining at its best. Conclusion:- This is a very well managed and professionally staffed restaurant. The chefs are highly skilled; the manager always visible watching; the staff happy in their work. The food is exemplary and will take you on a food sensory journey.

Outstanding, authentic Burgundian cuisine, simply delicious! Every dish on the menu was exceptionally flavorful, expertly prepared, and beautifully presented. Dining here is a true pleasure! The prices for food and drinks are reasonable for the quality offered. The very friendly and attentive service made our visit perfect! We're already looking forward to our next visit :-)

A fantastic lunch experience with a starter, main course, and dessert for under €30 per person. Luckily, we were well looked after throughout the meal by Paul, who was excellent despite the intense heat. Thank you for offering such a refreshing menu during this time of year!

We had dinner, but there was a slight problem with the fries, which smelled like fish. They were sent back to the kitchen and returned with the same unpleasant fishy taste. The waiter seemed annoyed, but that was all. It still spoiled our meal, and no alternative was offered (another side dish, for example), nor was there any gesture of goodwill. Disappointed, we won't be back. It's a shame.

It's a shame that when booking online, it wasn't mentioned whether there was a set menu for Mother's Day at €55 instead of the €39 menu. We were upstairs, and the air conditioning was very unpleasant. We were seated against a wall, and cold air blew on our necks throughout the entire meal. The table next to us also commented on it. There were no snacks with the aperitif. The food was good, no complaints there. But at €55 per person, excluding drinks, it wasn't a good experience considering the price and service.

Excellent lunch. We ordered snails, Bresse chicken, and strawberry nage. The snails for the starter arrived a little lukewarm, but the staff readily took the plate back to reheat it at our request... and brought the dish back completely reheated, perfectly piping hot! The attention to detail in the service is noteworthy; it's in these kinds of details and the handling of unexpected situations that you recognize true professionals. The sauce and mashed potatoes accompanying the Bresse chicken were exceptional, very flavorful, and the strawberry nage was the perfect light finish.

I've been coming to this restaurant for 10 years and have always been satisfied, but tonight I was extremely disappointed with the service. The waiters were running around everywhere, stepping on you, running around the room. I understand they were overwhelmed, but it's not a fast-food restaurant, it's a proper restaurant! They made three mistakes and we waited ages for the menu. In short, I'm very disappointed; the restaurant isn't what it used to be. 🫣🤨

My starter wasn't served at the same time as my main course, so I sent my main course back to the kitchen. Then they brought us our aperitifs, which we also cancelled. The service was very slow.

Dining alone. Starter, main course, and dessert for €50 à la carte. At this price, one expects perfection. And that wasn't quite the case: - The gravlax starter was generous, good but nothing special - The andouillette sausage was incredible, but the bowl of wilted spinach was scandalously small (€24 main course) and bland - The chocolate mousse was delicious As for the service, it felt like a factory and lacked a certain warmth. In short: it's hard to say the food wasn't good, but given the price, some aspects could be improved.
